Some days ya feel like a nut...
Current Mood: calm calm
I woke up this morning in a silly good mood. So I blithered online to anyone who would listen for a bit, then when it came time. Off to the g'rents. Laundry done, yard mowed....and kids played with!

I spent something like an hour or more playing with a bunch of rambunctious children. Not sure which was more tiring, the lawn in 92 degree weather, or the kids. But the kids were certainly more fun. I got to play frisbee, climb trees, vault fences to the ooh and aaahs of adoring fans...and they tried a game of lets see how many kids it takes to knock down Jeffery. They couldn't work well enough together so this is a game that remains unwon currently.

I also had a slight anomaly occur. Whilst I was out in the front yard, covered in sweat, hair akimbo and shirtless...a convertible drove by with 5 teenage girls in it. And they drove by..they slowed down..and hollered at me. By the time I got past, 'WTF?!' they were gone. I'm sure I looked hilarious with my mouth open like a fish. :P Regardless of their intentions, however, it was still kinda nice.

Especially cause I look like this without a shirt on. Picture oh so helpfully supplied by a boy who just turned 10. And his sister who had just lost a tooth drinking. I'm not entirely sure what she had to do with the picture taking, but she insisted she did. So I let her insist. The brother was carrying around a doll of Mr. Fantastic from the recent movie that was about the size of his torso. And he was carrying it mostly on his shoulder. It was kinda cute, even if I was jaded and went, 'Meh. Marketing!'

Either that or I want a life-sized Alba. Not sure. <edit>Removed whiny that is not as bad as it sounded written out.</edit>

Some days you don't. =)

P.S. In case anyone cares (cause one person asked) you can see Simpson doing her remake of Boots here. And better yet, it's legal this way. :)

"Cousins, Outlaws, Thrillbillies", hrm...

I am not too impressed with this redone version of the song either. Sounds more like "chanting" than singing... guess it is just not my taste (not that you asked). She doesn't exactly come across as "wholesome" in the video...

92 outside? All that's missing from this summertime play session is a lawn sprinkler! "silly good mood"s are neat.

Nope, we had lawn sprinklers. I just didn't indulge.

And who says I want wholesome. ;P

good exercise

I don't think anyone has found an exercise program that can beat playing with rambuctious children. Not to mention...its good for the soul. Add into that teen girls (or boys in some cases) ogling you when shirtless...and you have a recipe for a good day.

sounds like a wonderfully fun day :) I really enjoyed the part about 'knocking Jeffrey down' as I've played a similar version of it called 'how many nieces and nephews does it take to splatter aunt tina?' People often think that my enjoyment of being around rug rats of that nature is a bit insane, but I know the truth - it keeps you young in spirit, in heart, and in mind.

I love the fact that someone else shows the same appreciation for you without a shirt that I do :) Smart girls in that car!!
