I know why shadows cry.
Current Mood: awake awake
Current Music: Sleepy Bri breathing.
They cry because they are merely reflections of brilliance, impermanent, and transitory. They can help you realize the whole, but they are only outlines, profiles. Not details. Through them you can see the breaks and fix them. But you pay little attention to them, for they are merely shadows. A tool...

I feel much like a shadow, most of the time. (For those of you wondering....go here.

To follow up my last entry, I got called that night. In tears. It took me a few more days to really get to the bottom of that barrel...and I don't know what to do, even knowing that. It's fun, sailing on the sea of life with no port of call in mind. :)

Oh, and I did get things clean. Just in no particular order like I'd planned. =) Still have stuff to do, too, but who ever -really- gets everything clean the way the want. And if you are one of these people, don't talk to me.

And now, on with the show.

School started. I'm taking, in no particular order, Intro to Humanities, Systems Software (I get to write an assembler and macro pre-processor! I can almost promise you will hear bitching about this later. ;), Computer Science Seminar, Numerical Analysis II, Operating Systems (new teacher, and he doesn't quite know what he's doing/where he's going. Easy grade, but I'd rather have a teacher that I can learn from...it could change, but I have a feeling that me reading the book will be of more help in learning), and Computer Organization Laboratory. (or Digital Design Laboratory).

To be fair, I like my classes, except for DDL, and who knows, I may end up liking it, just that I won't be able to get good grades in it. :) For some reason, at the electric, analog level, I just can't seem to get it. Ah well. can't have all easy A's? :P I'm kinda bummed about the Operating Systems thing. I reallyreally wanna learn more about this level of computing.

With this class schedule though comes a change in work schedule that means I have reduce monies. The school will only pay for so much more of me. (about 60 more hours worth) then I'm SOL there. I still work at roadway, but only MWF due to school schedulness. 18 hours a week does not my bills paid make. My tax refund when I can get around to filling it (I would do it online, but it's not -free- anymore, at least not at turbotax. I should look around, but I have this feeling...) will only be 400 to 500 dollars, and this might get spent on a 32" flat screen tv, cause damnit. I want one. Again. But who knows. Maybe I'll be responsible and save it or something. So I'm worried about that.

Bri's parents want Bri to come visit again for a weekend, but at least time they're willing to pay. :) It's kinda funny. Bri's more popular at my house than I am. I mean, she is a gorgeous red-head and all, but sheez! I'm being taken over. *insert screams here. ;)* Most of the time, the phone's for her. Either her parents, her Texan (we think he's got a crush.), or Matt. Of course, more phone calls are stupid people going, 'Hello. Hello?!' then hanging up. So we have stupid people, Bri's people, than occasionally my mom. I don't even get M anymore...

Which is a diary entry in and of itself. A goodbye, in a way. But since I have class soon, I don't have time to write it now. So who knows when it'll get written next. ;)

And with that, I am off. :)

Re: Holy shit.

I've always had a journal of some type. You just never asked :) At least now you can hear me bitch about you ignoring me sooner rather than later. :) :) *lix you all over* :)

i get a lot of calls that don't seem to be anyone, and a lot of messages on my answering machine that are hangups. i attribute both to telemarketers, who have an autodialer and when it gets an answer, it rings on their end and they have to pick up, which is often why it takes a minute for them to respond to your hellos.

those bitches.

all the same (which i say, even though i'm now talking about something entirely unrelated), you really should try to save your money. once you get your degree and a job that pays well, *then* start thinking about such non-essentials. it's okay to be a college student without a tv - i spent all four years that way. it's best to throw as much money as you can towards tuition and actually finish the degree. otherwise you'll just be a dude with a flat-screen tv working at roadway for the rest of his life.

Check around. If you make under a certain amount a year there's a program to pay for e-filing, I think. At least for state taxes.
