Movies...

More movie stuff. Don't mind me, wasting time while I fly from one place to the other in WoW...

As usual, when I peruse the movie listings, I almost always wish I loved in some big city that had the 'limited releases'. I mean, the movies that are coming out this week are okay...Brothers Grimm looks good, though I'm afraid the same 'story in a story' thing might turn flat (Much like how the bewitched movie went bad). Cave is very formulaic, but I've always been a fan of (forgive me!) spelunking stuff. I hate to say this, but I actually wouldn't mind seeing Undiscovered. But I'm all out of chicks to go to chick flicks with. ;) The week after I know exactly what movie I will be seeing....Transporter 2. :) You don't go to this movie for plot, you go to see the pretty and the boom. It'll be a funfun movie.

So, now that said...Shoujyo is the ever popular Lolita, but it seems, like all things 'Asian influenced' to have moral hints thrown in. This is the least interesting to me...

Eternal is about a cop who meets a beautiful woman killer who lures beautiful women to kill them and bathe in their blood thinking it keeps her eternally young and beautiful. Hrm, too many beautiful in that sentence. But I digress. The killer is a Transylvanian. Come on, that's gotta be worth something! ;) Vampire like intrigue is always fun.

This is for James, mostly...Formula 17 is about a 17 year old gay boy who moves to Taipei to fall in love. He falls for the playboy. Hilarity ensues.

And the one I really really want to see is The Memory of a Killer. An assassin who has the beginning stages of Alzheimer's (the movie thing says advanced stages, but...) he takes his last contract, a double hit. The first part he does, and gets a couple of cops to start investigating. The second part is a 12 year old girl. He refuses the contract, because he was an abused child himself, and goes to find out why they wanted a 12 year old dead. His boss finishes the kill, hit man kills boss, and proceeds onward, garnering revenge as he goes. The cops, of course, continue investigation to find out about this series of murders...

Ah well. I'll never be able to watch all the movies I want to watch. I wonder how you become a movie critic....
