Unexpected thoughts.

I hereby recommend Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. He's a Japanese born, British author...I mention this because I think it's relevant to the novel and some of the ideas contained within and especially the setting.

I really enjoyed the novel and the ideas within. Destiny...the meaning of soul...nature vs. nurture...as well as some of the ethical and moral questions raised about what people will do to survive...and what they won't.

There happens to be a movie that was released into yonder mainstream that somewhat mirrors this novel's..motif? Underlying structure perhaps...Regardless, I enjoy the contrast. It makes me wonder which is more correct, or perhaps where reality would intersect the two.

I am going to look up this gentleman's other works and see if I can enjoy them as much as I enjoyed this. If you happen to know about the author or get motivated to read this...let me know.

P.S. I really do hope this new icon means Monkey in Chinese. It's supposed to!
